My Reason to Relay
Having supported my mother through her battle with kidney cancer and watched as my mother in law lost her battle with lung cancer earlier this year, as well as having two other immediate family members in the last three months hear those horrible three words. I am dedicated to the ACS cause and hope that you will join me in this important endeavor.
This year, over 1.4 million Americans will hear the words ?You have cancer?. I know too many people who have been touched by cancer, and that is why I have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.
At Relay For Life we celebrate loved ones who have won their battle against cancer, remember those who are no longer with us, and fight back against this disease that touches so many. I am determined to make a difference, and I hope you will join me. I will be Relaying on April 15th 2011.
As the 2011 Leesburg Relay for Life Event Chair, I would like to invite you to join me in the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society depends on its volunteers and donations to help bring us to our goal of a world without Cancer.
Through Relay events, the ACS is able to bring together cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and the community to raise awareness and money for its mission.
